I am sorry, but I have to put this on ice for a while. I got some serious private issues to solve first, I need my head free. But I will start working on it again in some time, promised!

I finally know what the game will be called: (Well, if you can come up with a better name, go ahead )
"Machina Obscura"
I hope you like it!

At the moment, I am developing a free pen & paper roleplaying game, the working title is so far "Machina Obscura".

In this game, which is set in a victorian, somewhat steampunky background (remember Arcanum??), the sky is crowded with airships, the oceans are conquered not only by sailing ships but also by steamboats and steam-submarines. There are cities which have a train line with other major cities, some even have an inner-city train line (or tram-lines).

This is an after-war world; there were the so-called "Ancient Civilizations" who fought a war which brought them nearly to extintion,at least to a state where all the knowledge was lost. Now, the world has recovered, and Archaelogists and Adventurers bring the news of the old civilizations - like in the Great Rainforest, where several gigantic mechanical spiders (similar to the one in "Wild Wild West") can be found. Those are long destroyed & long beyond repair - and overrun by the forest plants. But they were the foundation of the invention "Mechanical Spider", which is a small but fearsome machine which everybody with the necessary skillz and parts can build. Here is a link to what it looks like: [link] (credits go to ~IgnisFerroque ) Also ancient technology are aircrafts, but the people of this world haven't found out yet how to make them fly again.

The players can choose from different character classes (not races, as I don't add dwarfs, elves and the like to the game), which involve Engineer, Chemist, Blacksmith, Professor, Adventurer, Archaelogist, Electrician, Businessman and many more. A big part in the game are the inventions which you can create all by yourself if you have the right skillz - and the right game master.

The player can send me those inventions any time they like - and if I like em and they fit in the gameplay, I will add 'em officialy. There will be a newspaper, the "New Central Chronicle" where new technologies and every major event in the gameworld will be presented.

What is this contest about?
I need your imagination. I need special inventions, which will fit in this world. An airship, that looks like the Nautilus? Or a completely different type of submarine? At least they have work via clockwork or steam machine (as some steam machine in addition to a dynamo can create electricity, this is useable too).And I need landscapes and cityscapes of what this world might look like. And character designs. I need the whole artwork, to be exact As long as it looks inventive and victorian somehow!!! Oh, and I do need weapon designs!!!!
Be creative, be inventive. Its up to you.
All artists who are willing to let their artwork use in this creation will be featured in my journal along with the used deviations, when the webpage is online, they will get proper credit.
